Taxi in Leiden

Airport taxi between Leiden and Schiphol

Book ahead when you need a transfer between Leiden and Schiphol Airport. Enter the complete pickup address, flight details, number of passengers and luggage, then check the final price and cancellation terms with the provider before paying.

For an airport pickup, verify whether the driver meets you inside the terminal or at a designated pickup zone. For a pickup in Leiden, agree on an exact entrance or street address rather than only naming a hotel or station.

Taxi rank at Leiden Centraal

The taxi rank is on the city-centre side of Leiden Centraal at Stationsplein, close to the station forecourt and bus station. Use the Centrumzijde exit and follow the taxi signs.

The station area can change during construction. If you have reserved a taxi, confirm the precise pickup point with the driver shortly before arrival instead of assuming it is on the Bargelaan side.

Taking a taxi within Leiden

Leiden's historic centre is compact and many central addresses are walkable from the station. A taxi can still be practical for luggage, reduced mobility, late arrivals or destinations outside the centre.

State in advance if you need a child seat, wheelchair-accessible vehicle, extra luggage space or a vehicle for a larger group. Availability varies, so do not leave these requests until pickup.
